About Holmes Chapel Boxing Club

Holmes Chapel Boxing Club is a community club established in January 2019 and became a Registered Charity (No.1189313) in May 2020.  We are affiliated to England Boxing, the National Governing Body for Amateur/Olympic style boxing.


Our boxers compete in Club Shows, Championships and at Box Cups.  Outside of Competition we run a schedule of Community and Recreational Boxing sessions as well as 1-2-1's.


Our team of coaches, trustees and helpers are ALL VOLUNTEERS working together to create a positive impact in our sport and community.

Our team of experienced coaches with specialist knowledge in strength, nutrition and working with diverse groups.  Coaches are Insured, First Aid and Safeguarding trained, DBS checked and hold coaching licences from England Boxing and/or the British Boxing Board of Control

WHO WE ARE

We are more than a Boxing Club. We are a charitable foundation that creates a positive social impact.  Our aim is to help the people in our community through the power of sport and boxing.  We inspire and empower people to  improve their physical, mental and emotional well being.

COMPETITIVE BOXING

The club delivers boxing training for:

  • Under 16's competitive boxers or working toward competition, where boxing is the primary sport with training three times per week 
  • Competitive boxing Adults (16-39).  This is for those that want to wear the club vest and compete in club shows and championships
  • All participants are 'Competition Boxer' members
  • Not Suitable for beginners

RECREATIONAL BOXING

As part of the wider foundation, RECREATIONAL boxing training is for:


  • Beginners, new starters, boxers with limited experience and boxers who may not want to compete  
  • All training is boxing based and delivered by qualified boxing coaches. 
  • Age 7-11 (Primary) Cadets NON CONTACT Boxing
  • Age 11+ Junior Recreational new starters or who want to train as boxers but may not want to compete.  Classes are non contact.
  • Age 16+ Senior Rectreational Boxing technique for new starters and non competion or Fighting Fit boxing based fitness 
  • Pathway to competition if desired

 

COMMUNITY BOXING

In addition to the published schedule of classes, we also provide:


  • Female only ages 14+ Ladies That Punch non contact boxing technique and fitness
  • Specialist classes such as The Fightback Club for those with Parkinsons
  • Classes and tailored services in partnerships with local schools
  • Work with local healthcare providers to promote positive mental health and social prescribing
  • Support our PCSO and other non profit community organisations
